A total of 667 players from 43 countries entered this year's €5,300 Dortmund tournament, including 143 who won their seats online with PokerStars. Both
William Thorson and
Luca Pagano have made the final table of EPT Dortmund - the first time that two Team PokerStars Pros have reached the last eight in the same event. Pagano has also smashed another EPT record by becoming the first player to achieve ten EPT cashes.
Alongside the Team PokerStars Pros gunning for the €917,000 first prize is 19-year-old Canadian online phenom
Mike 'Timex' McDonald. Mike won last year's Dortmund event and is now aiming at another unique EPT record - the first player ever to win two EPT titles.
Also in the final is German pro
Sandra Naujoks, a member of the PokerStars.de Shooting Star team.
Florian Langmann, who was announced as a ShootingStar member only two days ago, bubbled the final to come 9th.
Johan Storakers, the popular Swedish pro, has also made the final table as well as Turkish player
Cengizcan Ulusu and German students
Holger Kanisch and
Marc Gork.
