In case the numerous appearances on Poker After Dark, High Stakes Poker and World Poker Tour broadcasts aren’t giving you enough of professional poker player Gus Hansen, he’s now got his own TV channel: Gus TV.

The site is set to launch February 21st and will give fans of the Danish poker superstar the chance to follow him around the world, receive exclusive poker strategy tips and hand-by-hand analysis.

“Having my own free TV channel is a fantastic opportunity for me to connect with my fans and supporters,” said Hansen.

“Today’s technology means everyone can sit down with me and watch as I play live at tournaments or even just in my hotel room with friends. And because it is online, Gus TV can reach the whole world, for fans as far away as Osaka and Oklahoma.”

To launch the site Hansen will be broadcasting live and free of charge his boxing match with fellow poker pro Theo Jorgensen. The two have agreed to meet in the ring as a result of Hansen’s constant showboating after beating Jorgensen at squash.

Typical of the action junkie action the two pugilists won’t just be fighting for pride. Should Hansen defeat Jorgensen he’ll pocket $25,000 but if Jorgensen is able to pull out a victory over “The Great Dane” he’ll walk away with $35,000.

“Beating up Theo in boxing will be much more enjoyable than winning over him in poker. The sweet taste of victory cannot even be made up in terms of money”, said Hansen, who has hired an Olympic boxing coach to help him prepare.
