Eastgate clinched the title when his straight beat Demidov's two pairs after the longest final table in WSOP Main Event history.

The 22-year-old from Denmark claimed his first WSOP Bracelet and a first prize totaling $9.1 million by finishing off Ivan Demidov, a 27 year old Russian, in a 4 hour, head to head showdown that lasted 104 hands. Demidov takes home $5.8 million for second place.

The 22 year old broke Phil Hellmuth's record as youngest champion of the World Series Of Poker. Hellmuth was 24 when he won the tournament back in 1989.

"I guess I haven't really realized how big this is. It will come in the next weeks or the next days. I will become very emotional at some point," said Eastgate.

Before today's main event, Eastgate's biggest pay day had been the 2007 Irish Open where he won $46,000.

Results from the final table:

1 Peter Eastgate, Denmark - $9,152,416
2 Ivan Demidov, Russia - $5,809,595
3 Dennis Phillips, USA - $4,517,773
4 Ylon Schwartz, USA - $3,794,974
5 Scott Montgomery, Canada - $3,096,768
6 Darus Suharto, Canada - $2,418,562
7 David Rheem, USA - $1,772,650
