On september 9th, in connection to the EPT's Season 5 opening event, an European Poker Tour award ceremony will be held for the first time ever.
The ceremony will take place at the Opium Mar in Barcelona, and awards will be delt out in seven different categories.
The nominees for five of the seven different categories is picked by a jury, consisting of John Duthie, Lee Jones, Victoria Coren and John Caldwell.

The People's Player Award are decided by a public vote on the European Poker Tour website. If you want to participate in the voting, click here.
The winner of the Poker Writers Award will be decided by all journalists and media who covered the fourth season of the EPT.

The initiative is inspired by the Scandinavian Poker Awards, and the hosts will be the same as those of the Scandinavian Poker Awards in Copenhagen, Daniel Negreanu and Gloria baldin.
